Our History

Dr. Frace is a graduate of UC-Davis and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association, and the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association. He has had 5 years of experience working for a board certified veterinary surgeon and 8 years working in a large referral veterinary hospital where he was the principle staff surgeon and internist.

The next 15 years he owned and operated his own veterinary hospital in Huntington Beach, California. Hamilton Animal Hospital was a much respected small animal hospital, employing three veterinarians full time and a staff of 18. It was a place where you could take your pet and have confidence that you would receive excellent advice and care for your pet in a friendly and clean environment. The business was sold to a young colleague who worked in the practice since high school and went on to become a graduate veterinarian.

Dr. Frace and his wife, Marsha, moved to Diamond Springs in 1996. They opened the MarketPlace Veterinary Hospital in October 2002.
