Use Pet Portals to Manage Your Pet’s Health Information
For safe, convenient management of your pet’ health history and exams, we offer Pet Portals. You Pet Portal is a private website that gives you secure online access to your pet’s health information. We provide Pet Portals free of charge to all clients who have active email addresses.
Here are the three ways you can set up your Pet Portal:
- Online—Just click on the Pet Portal button and follow instructions.
- In person—Visit our hospital and give the receptionist your email address.
- Phone—Call us on the phone and give us your email address.
Once you provide us with your email address, you’ll receive your password by email. We use your email address as your Pet Portal sign-in name. You have the option of receiving your pet’s service reminders (vaccinations, exams, etc.) by email. We also use your email address to contact you about practice updates and important health news, such as information about West Nile Virus.
MarketPlace Veterinary Hospital uses your email address as an alternative contact and to share any important new information with you. For example, Dr. Frace plans to forward health news that is seasonal in some cases or breakthrough new information that could be lifesaving to your pet. Topics could include:
- How much of which type of chocolate it takes to make your pet deathly ill
- Lily toxicity for cats is a new lethal condition causing feline kidney failure — one bite of your spring bouquet can destroy their kidneys
We think it is a good idea to share this information and email is a good way for us to reach everyone quickly and spread the word!
If you’d prefer not to receive emails from us, you can use your Pet Portal to change your email preferences. You will still be able to use your Pet Portal, even if you choose not to receive emails from us. We do not sell our mailing list. We do not disclose your personal information.
