Pet Prescription Refills by Phone or Fax
At MarketPlace Veterinary Hospital, we operate a complete full-service, in-house pharmacy for your pet needs. Simply call us at 916-939-1705 or fax us at 916-939-1707 for your refills. We do ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hours for phone or fax refills.

If you are not a current client, we are unable to fill prescriptions by phone or fax. Please contact us regarding your concerns or to schedule an appointment.
Clients are often unaware of the laws regarding prescription drugs for people and animals. Most everyone is aware of the misuse of controlled drugs with addictive side effects, but forget that all drugs — even antibiotics — can cause side effects if given too long, in too high or low doses, or for the wrong problem. State laws for physicians, dentists, and veterinarians require that the patient have a client-doctor relationship, which in turn requires an annual examination and evaluation for the disease that you are treating. If it has been over a year since your pet received an examination by a veterinarian for a particular problem, you will need to update the medical condition and get a new and correct prescription. This can be part of the normal annual examination and vaccination process.
